Among Christians growing up, a common phrase was “guard your heart.” Especially among young girls in reference to relationships. However, God doesn’t call us to guard our heart only in reference to relationships and it’s certainly not only in relationship to young women. This week, we explore why God calls us to guard our heart and in what aspects are we supposed to guard our hearts.
About the Speaker:
Bethany grew up in the church and has always been involved in church ministries including children, youth, and dance. She received her Bachelors in Religious Studies from the University of South Florida and her Masters in Theological Studies with a focus in Old Testament theology from Lipscomb University in TN. In addition to leading our youth, she is an Adjunct Instructor at State College of Florida where she teaches World Religions and Religions in America. Bethany is passionate about helping young people develop their own beliefs so they may be grounded for the future. Bethany enjoys reading, dancing, and spending time with her family.
